Exercise is a very important part of the Mediterranean Diet

However being the best in the world, the effectiveness of the Mediterranean Diet is being questioned due to the fact that many Mediterranean people have abandoned or never followed it, specially the new generations.

These habit changes are the result of bad information, an everyday poorer education, the aggressiveness of the junk food companies (unhealthy manufactured products and fast food restaurants, some of them selling Mediterranean pretending stuff as trans fats loaded pizzas) and the complicity of a government that looks aside.

But these changes are not only in the way that Mediterranean people eat. The other side of the coin is that they have abandoned active open air plays for sedentary entertainments in the computer or watching TV.

These habits shifts have occurred over less than two decades and are having dramatic consequences in a considerable increase of the obesity in both children and adults.

We have to become aware that we are being manipulated by a huge amount of companies of all kinds that consider us as a profitable resource.

Think of that before buying something (product or service).

Make daily exercise. Activity is a vital part of the Mediterranean Diet.
