New: Due to the preassure, I have created a page called “The first two weeks”

Mediterranean Diet is for life. If you abandon it you’ll become obese
Many people ask about the “first two weeks” of the Mediterranean Diet, as if it were a fad diet. They want a fast remedy to discard weight as soon as possible in order to face a special event or the next period or holidays.
Mediterranean Diet followers normally do not need to lose weight. If they practice the Mediterranean way of life that means high activity, exercise and the well known food pattern, they will not suffer from obesity. The problem is that a high percentage of people from the region have abandoned the Mediterranean Diet and adopted new habits consisting of junk food, a high rate of meat, refined carbohydrates and an excess of calories. They consequently become obese. Children are the most important concern of the authorities.
They are just a few rules:
Eat lots of vegetables, non caloric fruits and non refined carbohydrates. Eat fish. Eat some dairy products, natural fats, especially virgin olive oil. Check that it is “virgin”. Allow yourself some eggs, meat and, in special occasions, some natural made deserts. But burn all of it. A very important Spanish Doctor (Dr. Marañon, 1887-1960) said: “If you feel that you are getting fat, eat less and do more exercise. Or, if it necessary, reduce the food to half and double the activity”.
Do not endanger your life with unbalanced diets that may destroy your health. Mediterranean Diet, on top of that, is free.
