<p style="text-align: justify;">Fresh fruit is something that should be eating very often. It is recommended at least 5 pieces or serving of fruits every day. Of course you can have dried fruits as well, but you have to consider that the calories per unit of weight are at least 8 o 9 times the ones of the fresh fruits. If you want to reduce weight you should avoid big intakes of avocados, bread fruit and bananas. Mango is an intermediate calories source fruit and should be included moderately in loss weight plans. The rest of the fruits are weight loss excellent aids. One trick is to eat the fruit at the beginning of a main meal, as a starter. This would moderate your appetite and make you eat less.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Anyway, some people do, from time to time a two or three days of detoxification fruit diet. The fact of including high calories fruits depend on the purpose of the diet. If you want just clean your body, it is good to include some bananas or even avocados, and of course, the delicious mangos. If you are overweight, better eat low calories fruits only. This diet is better that the fresh fruit juice diet. With the first one you get a lot of insoluble fiber (and soluble as well if you take high pectin fruit, as apples). The insoluble fiber maintains your intestines working properly, and the soluble drags part of your cholesterol.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Fruits high in pectin are apples, lemons (skin), blackberries, cranberries, kiwis, wild grapes, currants, gooseberries, boysenberries, gooseberries, loganberries, most plums and quinces. Jams of these fruits are also high in pectin.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Modified citrus pectin is a supplement that supposedly fights cancer.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">If you read <a href="https://www.mediterraneandiet.com/2008/10/31/the-mediterranean-diet-weight-loss-plan/" target="_blank">this post </a>you will see that a way to weight loss in Mediterranean Diet is following a plan that includes apples. Fruits are known to be an important source of energy and health and lately, the American Cancer Society has declared that “Eating lots of fruits and vegetables can help reduce your cancer risk”. The Institution recommends eating at least five servings of fruit every day.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This is the reason why Tammi Flynn wrote his book “3-apple-a-day plan” recommending to eat an apple before every important meal. This will do not you any harm providing that you follow a balanced diet according with your caloric needs. Of course, the apple will reduce your appetite if you can control your crave. It is a non very caloric fruit, 65 Kcal. in 125 grams (1 cup), has fiber and you can take away in your bag or pocket.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Moreover, the apples are full of pectin, a soluble fiber that in practice drags cholesterol out of your body (in a not so simple process) and prevents cancer.</p>
<p>You must not confuse the apple diet with the <strong>“apple diet patch”,</strong> a patch that sells a company supposedly “to lose weight” using an apple patch stuck to your skin. It is ridiculous only to think that this method might work. Furthermore, when you land to their page, they try to turn you an active seller of the patches, “privilege” for which you have to pay 29,95 US $. This is why some people think it could be a scam, but this is a question only that should be determined by the courts.</p>
